I’m quite convinced that this addon is not working properly. Since this is basically the only SEO ee4 compatible addon, I’d like to know how others have their templets setup and are using this successfully… or what you are doing otherwise. This is kind of a site-crippling issue.
I’m using partials to setup the base HTML structure
{head} - contains everything from the opening html tag, down to the to the opening body tag
{nav} - site navigation
Here I had in the page specific html along with the channel entries, etc. and other code.
{jquery} - all links to scripts
{close} - closing html and body tags
Inside the head partial, I’m using:
{exp:seo_lite use_last_segment="yes"}
This works fine on the about page, however, on the gallery page this addon will not function at all. No matter what I do.
About page URL: http://mydomain.com/about
Gallery page URL: http://mydomain.com/gallery
Both of these pages are identical, except for the channel entry tags, and the contents contained with in. I even took the content from the about, pasted it into the gallery.. and IT DOESN’t work… meaning I see no updated TITLE tags. just the site name tag. It’s like there is an issue with that specific page setup. and it seems sporadic. some pages work, some do not.
Any idea, or what is the work around.
I’d hate to write an if statement for every page, that seems unnecessary. How are these other CMS’s able to pull this off easily, and I struggle so much with it in EE? There has to be an easy way to implement SEO.
Thanks
