It seems that recently (possibly EE 3.4), you guys changed some things with Title parsing, and there’s a whitelist of allowed HTML tags that can appear in the title. You do not include ‘mark’ in that whitelist, although it is a safe tag and one in common use.
Our whitelist of safe tags for keyword highlighting in our Super Search add-on includes a subset of your safe HTML whitelist. However, we have always allowed ‘mark’, while you no longer do. So EE 3.4 (or a recent version) has now broken this functionality for Super Search.
Would it be possible for you to add that in as a safe tag?
Thanks!
Got it, so this will address that, and allow content authors to use <mark>
in Safe HTML contexts as well.
Side note recommendation would be to parse content after any typography is performed, since you can’t know how a site admin’s selected formatter will modify your module’s intent. Native typography are not the only types of output formatters that you would have to anticipate by modifying pre-parsed content. So working from output would be the most foolproof—could even JS based, for that matter.
