Few key components when it comes to SEO.
First, you need to make sure your keyword is showing up in the Inner URL (after the slash) and in the title. Contrary to many people’s belief, the keyword in the content makes little difference in your ability to rank. This will rank you for easy stuff right away. For the harder keywords you will need Links, plain and simple. You will likely have the best luck of getting these by writing engaging content that is trending or serves a purpose for people on the internet. If it’s not funny, informative, or interesting, you’re not going to get links. Some ways to get links are to create content that other sites would want to link to like finding broken links on powerful sites and making a new resource for the thing they were linking out to- then contact them and tell them you’ve got a resource to fix their link with.
The major thing here is that your content won’t spread easily unless you are getting the right people to pay attention to you and build from there.
Try some guest posting if you are a good writer - it will take some time, but it will be worth the effort!
Good luck!
