EE v2.2.1 - Build: date 20110705
i have been getting these errors when editing Member Groups and clicking on the following admin settings in Member Groups.
my questions is, if i just upgrade to the current build, will these errors be repaired as well….
or, do i need to fix this error before proceeding with upgrade, and if so, how?
Member Account Privileges Comment Posting Privileges Search Privileges Private Messaging Privileges Control Panel Access Control Panel Admin Email Privileges etc.
the errors are:
“A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Warning Message: Illegal string offset ‘options’ Filename: members/edit_member_group.php Line Number: 136”
or
“A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Warning Message: Illegal string offset ‘options’ Filename: members/edit_member_group.php Line Number: 137”
It shouldn’t interfere with the update and I would definitely update before digging into a 2.2 bug. It’s possible there’s some data corruption or something else odd going on. But it’s likely the update will fix it and if not, it should be easier to debug.
As always, make sure to backup your database before you update.
