entry_id in channel:entries mysteriously skipping first match

Ran into a strange issue while trying to generate a picture-driven sub-navigation on my site. When the results are output, the first match is skipped for some reason.
I also tried the same using “fixed_order” and dynamic=”no”, but the results got even stranger.

….and I was sending a ul opening tag in my embedded variable. Sigh. Fixed.
