I just tried a fresh install of EE 2.9.0 on a Media Temple DV account.  Because of higher PHP requirements, I am running a FastCGI Application with PHP 5.3.28

    —-

I am getting the following errors on my custom 404 page:

    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: Warning

Message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXXXX/staging/XXXXXXX/expressionengine/controllers/ee.php:145)

    Filename: core/Common.php

    Line Number: 442

I am seeing the 404 page and the homepage, one on top of the other separated by this issue.

I’ve also got exactly the same problem. Was there any solution?

Nothing yet.  In the meantime, I’m using LibraEE to modify my error pages.

There is a known bug that causes the 404 content AND the index page content to be displayed together. There is a patch here:

Thanks Kurt.  I’m putting the solution in place for now until they release 2.9+hopefully.

The known solution above temporarily worked for me.  Woot!
