In the docs referring to Relationships there is the following example:
{exp:channel:entries channel="seasons" title="Spring 2013" limit="1"}
Should that be url_title=“Spring 2013”? I tried just the title and it didn’t seem to work for me.

url_title refers to the “URL Title” field in the publish screen (aka slug in wordpress). This is a unique value which is used as the name of the page as it appears in the URL. For your example this will likely work:
{exp:channel:entries channel=“seasons” title=“spring_2013” limit=“1”}#3 / Nov 06, 2013 4:13am
I didn’t see ‘title’ listed in the docs as a parameter for the entries tag which is why i thought it was a typo in the docs.

My mistake the code snippet should be as follows. I don’t know if you can search by title on the channel entries tag.
{exp:channel:entries channel=“seasons” url_title=“spring_2013” limit=“1”}
