nav_sub producing wrong urls - index.php in url twice, creating bomb

I found the solution. Needed to update the site_url in Administration->General Configuration, the field labeled: URL to the root directory of your site.

Problem solved.

Basically, this was a failure to follow EllisLab’s guide for moving EE to another server.
