Hi,

I’m trying to upgrade a site running on EE 1.6.8 to a newer 2.5.x version. I’m following http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/upgrade_from_1.x.html and performed all the steps mentioned.

Then pointed to http://mysite.com/admin.php to run the upgrade procedure. In the first screen it is giving me usual instruction to ‘Beging..’. But when I’m clicking, it is going straight to the next screen where it instructs to remove the ‘installer’ folder WITHOUT DOING ANY UPGRADE IN BETWEEN.

Please help me with some inputs on what might be wrong?

Please note: I tried by clearing cache and not getting error message.
