I’m in the process of developing a website where users would be asked to register and pay to have access to some of my websites features. Do I have to purchase the Commercial Version? If yes please tell me why, your responses would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Coverley Medical,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

Can you tell me a bit more about the site? Is it a non-profit site?

    Thank you,

    Thank you,

Hello Shane, the site will be for a profit making venture, so no not a “non-proft” site.

    Hey Coverley Medical,

Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me.

You will need to purchase a commercial license for the site as it is a for-profit site.

Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers,

Thanks for the Quick reply Shane. I’ll go ahead and purchase that version. Also, is it possible to upgrade from the Non-Commercial to Commercial?
