    Hi. I’m having an issue with the Simple Search functionality. Whatever I key into the search form, I’m redirected to the ‘no-result’ page, even if the content exists.

    {exp:search:simple_form search_in="everywhere" id="search" show_future_entries="no" show_expired="no" no_result_page="main/no-result" result_page="main/search-results" where="any" weblog="not homepics"}
    <input name="keywords" type="text" value="Search the Site">
    {/exp:search:simple_form}

    Yes, I’ve set the custom field ‘Is this field searchable?’ option to YES. What else am I missing?

    This is the site in question: yamass.etapwss.com.

    Hi etapwebservices,

    I’m sorry you are having trouble with the Search feature in ExpressionEngine!

    Let’s get you sorted out.

    What version of ExpressionEngine are you using?

    Are you removing index.php at all?

    Are you using “yamass.etapwss.com” as the domain consistently in index.php, path.php and in your Control Panel?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan. Thanks for responding so promptly.

    I am currently using EE 1.7.1.

    I am not removing index.php; for example a sample secondary page is: http://yamass.etapwss.com/index.php/about.

    I am using yamass.etapwss.com as the domain consistently in index.php, etc. in the Control Panel.

    Hey etapwebservices,

    Are you using a .htaccess file at all?

    I may need to login and take a look.

    Thank you,

    Hi Shane.

    No, I don’t believe there’s a .htaccess file in use. I’ll be happy to set up a temporary super-admin for you if you would like me to PM you.

    Hey etapwebservices,

    You can check for .htaccess using FTP. If there is one, then that would make a lot of sense. Can you make sure?

    Thank you,

    Hi Shane.

    I just checked via FTP. There is no .htaccess file in use that I can see. If there was, where would it be located?
