This may have been covered already, but I’m currently using the new RTE on two client sites. Both have been pasting in their content from MS Word, which as usual completely messes up any formatting and inserts a bunch of random tags. Why aren’t all these tags stripped when pasting from Word? Its a pain for clients to paste into Notepad first… The only formatting I’d ever want to keep when pasting, is paragraphs and line breaks.

No matter how many times you tell them, client still love Word. However, I see the “paste from Word” syndrome as a regular income source for correcting broken pages 😉

You can file a Feature Request. I am not sure it’s something that will make it’s way in, if it’s even possible.
