This is really weird. I’m on EE 2.4.0 and just switched to Site5 hosting. Everything was working just fine before that.
Sometimes when logging into the CP or trying to navigate through pages in the CP, things lock up and just says “Connecting…” in the browser for extended periods of time. Sometimes it takes up to 2-3 minutes and finally loads the page…
What would cause this to happen?

Hey adro,
You might try disabling the new version check.
In the Control Panel navigate to Admin->General Configuration and disable that. Sometimes that dial home script will slow things down if there are network issues on either end.
There is nothing vital about that check.
Please disable and let me know.

Gave that a try…Seems to be OK so far, but the problem does seem to happen rather randomly. Will keep an eye on it over the next few days to see if it persists.
