I’m a SuperAdmin, so I would expect to be able to create a Publish Page Layout and save it as the default layout for other member groups.

The only option it gives me is to save it as the SuperAdmin layout. Is there a way for me to set up layouts for the other members of my team so that they can have a more user-friendly layout when they log in, or do I have to log in as a member of one of the other member groups to be able to save a layout for that member group?

    Hi fitzage,

You should be able to create publish page layouts for all member groups when you are logged in as the super admin. I’ve attached a screenshot of the checkboxes to select member groups on a site I’ve recently built. If you are not seeing the same options please post back with a screenshot of what you do see.

That’s what I figured was supposed to happen, but I only see the one for Super Admins (attached).

I’m still building the site, so I don’t actually have other users at the moment, so I wasn’t sure if it would only show me the other member groups if they had members in them. So I created a member group that I need and created a test user, but still there’s nothing.

Is there something I have to set in the member group preferences for this to work?

    Hello fitzage,

I am sorry to hear you are still running into this snag.

Can you navigate in the Control Panel to Members->Member Groups->Edit Group (for desired group) and find the section titled “Control Panel Access” and see if the group Can access CONTENT section? (See attached)

If they are not, then set them to yes and that should do it.

    Cheers,
