( file this one under—- there’s simply got to be an easier way…)
I’ve just updated one of our EE installs to 2.3 (from 1.6.9). And after the (usual) config and database errors were dealt with, I’ve got it up and running in the CP
However, during the install the site template files could not be written to.
(yes the permissions and paths were confirmed 3 times prior to activating installer. nevertheless… )
In order to continue the installer asked for the files and folders to be placed outside of the /templates/ folder. done.
Next I made sure the paths were correct in each site within the install
Now that site is active, I’d like to hook the templates back in. First thought of course is to use the “synchronize templates” command.
...however this overwrites the uploaded template as - I’m assuming based on behavior - the database updated all its template info on upgrade. IOW the more more recent time stamp of the DB supercedes the file creation time/modification time.
Other than manually rehooking all of the templates in and then modifying all of the templates so their time delta is more recent than in the db what would the speediest and most effective way of re-synching with the correct files be?
thx in advance folks
