So I just upgraded a humongous 1.7 site successfully after many attempts. I got all my addons updated and everything appeared to be working brilliantly.

As soon as I launched the upgraded site my VPS started crashing.

In WHM This query is shown as never completing- more and more of them just stack up after the site turns on until the server crashes:

    SELECT COUNT(*) AS `numrows` FROM (`exp_comments` c, `exp_comments`) JOIN `exp_channel_titles` ct ON

    That’s the excerpt WHM shows.

I have been looking at my comment code, but I don’t create the problem from browsing the site, when it is turned on or off.  Any ideas?

    Hi eyevariety,

Sorry to see this, I’m sure this is unbelievably frustrating. Does this happen just with front-end traffic or only when you try to access the CP. If it’s only on the CP side, have you been able to narrow it down to visiting certain pages within the CP?

Be on the lookout for an email from me. We’ll try to get to the bottom of this, quick.
