    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: Notice

    Message: Undefined property: Rel_ft::$db

    Filename: fieldtypes/ft.rel.php

    Line Number: 202

    Fatal error: Call to a member function select() on a non-object in /system/expressionengine/fieldtypes/ft.rel.php on line 202

    **************************************

    I had created a Custom Field Type to test out the Relationship field type

    Didn’t need it, tried to delete it

    and after clicking delete at this page:

    D=cp&C=admin_content&M=field_delete_confirm&field_id=33&group_id=2

    Delete Field
    Are you sure you want to permanently delete this custom field?
    My Custom Field
    [Delete]

    I received the above error message.

    I backed out of the rror page, went back into the Custom Channel Fields for that Channel, the unwanted Custom Channel Field was still there, so I tried to delete it again,
    and received the same error message.

    I think I am running EE 2.1.3 don’t know what build number, but I can supply this info if somebody tells me how to retrieve it, if it’s needed.

    I have some other Custom Channel Fields that I would like to get rid of now as well, but am unable to delete any of them.

    I keep getting the same error.

    Is there another place to request support other than here?

    I’m assuming this can’t be my fault since it has nothing to do with any of my templates or anything.

    Found a fix

    http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/177432/

    didn’t find that at first because I had renamed my system folder but forgot to try the default name when running a search.
