I am building a new site on EE 2.2.  When I try to use a front-end login form or forgot password form, after clicking submit I am immediately taken to the front page of the site with no confirmation, no reset password email sent, or no login happening. 

I’ve tried disabling extensions and removing every rule from my htaccess, and none of that seems to matter.  When resetting the password, I am using the default member page xxx/member/reset_password, so that should rule out an error in my own reset password form.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if it’s related or not but try emptying the exp_password_logout table and see if that allows you access again.
