    Hi guys,

    I have a weird issue with logouts. Client is running v. 2.1.3 Build 20101220. Basically, we have a logout link {path=LOGOUT] that takes them to domain.com/?ACT=14 which takes them to the Thank You! You are now logged out screen. Which is all fine and dandy. It actually logs them out. However, no meta refresh occurs and they’re not redirected back to the homepage. I check the source and even though the Message Templates clearly have the refresh in the header, it’s not rendered in the logout message.

    Help?

    Hi Lea,

    Is this a fresh install or an upgrade from a previous version or build?

    Are you using a htaccess file to remove index.php?

    What add-ons do you have installed?

    Things to try:

    rename your htaccess temporarily and reinstate index.php inot your General Configuration.

    Disable your extensions globally

    Try a different browser to see if behaviour is the same

    I disabled my .htaccess and double-checked by trying to go to a previously working inside page to make sure that the remove index.php was not working. However, the logout link worked—but did not do the meta refresh redirect.

    I also disabled extensions globally. Logged out (and logged in)—it finished the action but NO redirect. Basically, the meta refresh tag doesn’t even get rendered.

    Tried all of this while in Firefox as well as Chrome on my Mac. No cigar.

    Basically, login and logout works just fine. The redirect part is missing.

    Oh and yes, this was a fresh install.

    Hi Lea,

    When you say the meta refresh tag is not rendered, does that mean if you view source on the logout confirmation page it is not there? I get something like

    <html>
    <head>

    <title>Login</title>

    <meta http-equiv='content-type' content='text/html; charset=utf-8' />

    <meta http-equiv='refresh' content='1; url=http://ee/'>
    ...

    etc.

    Yes, that’s exactly what I mean.

    <meta http-equiv='refresh' content='1; url=http://ee/'>
    doesn’t even render at all when I View Source. And I double checked the message templates and edited text. The
    {meta_refresh}

    is there.

    What is set for Redirection Method in Output and Debugging Preferences? Try flipping that to the other option.

    It originally said Location (Faster) and I switched it to Refresh (Windows Servers) and it still didn’t work.

    Hi Lea,

    Are you in a position to upgrade this site to the latest build (20110411)? That would be the best option if possible. If not, are you using the Default theme or something else?

    Cheers

    I just upgraded it to the latest build. I am also using the Default theme. The meta refresh tag doesn’t render still. :(

    Add-ons we have are CartThrob, Zenbu, and NSM Email Login—however, we had this issue even without Zenbu and NSM Email Login.

    Hi Lea,

    Looks like you had URL to the root directory of your site set blank in Admin > General Configuration. Filled that in and everything looks good now. Can you confirm?
