I wanted to add ExpressionEngine2 to an existing CodeIgniter site to provide content management for the public facing web site that was attached to the application we had written. Instead of having the two sat side by side with duplicated code I decided to merge the two and have them use the same CI code base, the trick is in using mod rewrite to correctly route CI and EE2 requests to the right front loader (index.php). Might be worth sharing with the more technically inclined. 😉

I made a new EE2 accessory called CRZ Keyboard Shortcuts. It allows you to create keyboard shortcuts for locations and some URL-based actions (like logout) in the CP.

Hi Leslie,
We release version 1.2 of Safe Harbor http://eeharbor.com/safeharbor which now includes the ability to store ExpressionEngine Backups on Amazon S3. We also added the ability to search your backups and download a single file from them.
Thanks,

I recently released an extension called Purge that will send a purge request to the Varnish caching proxy upon entry submission/deletion. May tie in nicely since Greg posted about performance tuning for EE not long ago and mentioned caching proxies.

Follow up for this. Since launching this extension, other developers have been interested in leveraging the power of Varnish for their EE sites, so I attempted to write up a quick start guide aimed at caching EE:
