Correct Username and Password not Accepted by EE

Hi,

I recently got a new system which is running Windows 7 I am using both chrome and IE 8 to browse, when I try t access my expression engine site built in EE2 by entering my user name and password ( yes they are both correct, I am logged in on my laptop with these) nothing happens, the page behaves as though it is loading but then nothing.

For the other site’s the page does not load at all. Websites which I have built in the previous version of EE works fine, allowing me access to the CMS.

Can someone please help me.
