can’t resize / edit some images in the file manager. what’s strange is that i can edit some of the images in the system so it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the config but i believe it’s the larger images that are giving me trouble. what can i do?

    Tae,

What version and build of EE are you using?

What dimensions and size are the large images?

How much PHP memory do you have? You may simply be running out of memory to resize these larger images

thanks john.. i’ll have to contact my IT group about this - how much memory is required for images that are 1024x768?

so this is what i got from IT..

“The server is set to give up to 128MB of memory per script/page,  if we are exceeding this memory space then we can add a bit more but do realize the impact of this on concurrent sessions. Total Server Memory = 4 GB. I will increase the number to 192M for now.”

is this the memory that you were referring to? is 128 mb not enough?

It will depend on your images. Just how large are they? You might also try disabling XSS filtering, see if that saves a bit of memory.
