Forum Notifications Keep Coming though They Shouldn't

Since upgrading the EE Forum from 2.0 to 3.1.0, I have started to get an email notification of each and every post that is posted on the Forums. I have been going through the settings over and over again to make sure my email address isn’t listed anywhere in the Forum preferences. Still the notifications keep on coming.

This is driving me crazy. Is there a bug or something that I’m not aware of?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Cheers,

    mWall ,

In your forum management you need to check the category and forum preferences individually as well as the default forum preferences. See attached

    Hi John Henry,

I found one place where my email address was listed, and that was in the “Moderator” member group (although I am a Super Admin). And since I had the setting “Yes” for notifying moderators of new posts, I suppose it’s there the notifications are coming from.

The problem is, the notifications didn’t come when we were still in 1.6.X mode, i.e. before upgrading to 2.1, with the exact same settings. So something has definitely changed in the inner workings of this feature.

    Cheers,

So, did this information help you to solve the issue? Is it working as expected now?
