I have split off your issue into a new thread. What time settings do you use? DST in use? If it’s always exactly one hour surly the offset should be able to take care of that?

you would think, right?
i’ve played with the offset, both adding and subtracting with no luck. currently left blank. I’ve included a screenshot of my settings.

On the article posting page, have you selected the DST checkbox? Try either way.

i looked for that checkbox. where does it hang out? I even deleted my entry form layout and i missed it.
#6 / Nov 05, 2010 11:11am
Under the “Options” tab, “DST Active on Date of Entry”.
#7 / Nov 05, 2010 11:42am
i just removed the layout again and it’s not there in the option tab.

Hi running with scissors,
The checkbox in the Options tab will not appear because in your Admin > Localization Settings you do not have the ‘Honor the Daylight Saving Time setting associated with each channel entry?’ radio button selected.
What timezone is your server set to? You can find out by SSH’ing into your server and issuing the ‘date’ command.
Cheers

how does one ssh in to enginehosting server? i’ve tried using my ftp user/pass but that doesn’t seem to work.
#10 / Nov 11, 2010 6:28pm
You’d need to take that up with EngineHosting, but I am afraid they don’t allow for SSH connections. Perhaps you can find out via phpinfo()?

looks like it’s set to America/Chicago according to phpinfo.

running with scissors,
Ok so your server offset is correct. And your DST ended on Sun 7-Nov-2010
Is this discrepancy only for older entries. What happens when you create a new entry?
The checkbox in the Options tab will not appear because in your Admin > Localization Settings you do not have the ‘Honor the Daylight Saving Time setting associated with each channel entry?’ radio button selected.
Have you tried this option?
