    hi kind people 😊

Out of the blue, a client’s EE build (somewhere in the 1.5 range) has resulted in a blank site, including blank cp.

(This site has been installed successfully for a couple years now).

Of course, host says they haven’t done anything differently 😉

I ran, in system/config.php debug from 0 to 1 and in system/index.php turned error reporting to E_ALL. Still a blank site, no errors listed.

So I installed the server wizard, and going to that dir is giving me forbidden messages.

Here are the urls in question:
    http://www.convilleandwalsh.com

    and for the server wizard:
    http://www.convilleandwalsh.com/ee_server_wizard

Any other suggestions at this point? 😊

    Thanks!
    Reese

As you know this usually points to some changes on the server; a software update, perhaps, configuration or policy changes, anything.

Sounds like a possible permission error? Have you checked the web server’s error logs?

    Thanks Ingmar!

OK, I can’t get to any error log (nice host :| ) but I got these errors thrown up in the cpanel login page:

Warning: require(/web/sites/_c/_o/_n/convilleandwalsh.com/public/www/literacy/core/core.output.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /web/sites/_c/_o/_n/convilleandwalsh.com/public/www/literacy/core/core.system.php on line 518

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/web/sites/_c/_o/_n/convilleandwalsh.com/public/www/literacy/core/core.output.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /web/sites/_c/_o/_n/convilleandwalsh.com/public/www/literacy/core/core.system.php on line 518

Somehow, the core.output file went missing.  what the heck? LOL (I know, it’s not EE’s fault at all)

I replaced it with a version I have from 1.6.3 and nwo the site is back up. These guys are on 1.6.0 so I hope I haven’t killed anything by putting the core.output file from 1.6.3 in there. If you think that was a bad idea, please let me know 😊

    And, thank you!  You rock!

    All the best,
    Reese

Ah, a missing file 😊 No, you shouldn’t be running into any issues here, although I am bound to tell you that upgrading might be sensible choice. EE 1.6.0 is more than three years’ old.
