I have an issue when I keep trying to update a template I get redirected to the CP home and the template is not been updated, it has started to happen again for a template I created called ‘contact_us’ - initially it occured when I tried to create a style sheet template for screen.css

Just tried deleting the template again and clearing cache - same problem now when trying to edit another template, I am trying to paste in google map code, had no problems in the past, I even tried pasting the code into coda then copying it again in case some weird character issue was occurring - no dice.

Please advise asap as this is a big problem not been able to edit templates.

    Hi Patrick,

Which version and build of EE are you using? Do you have any extensions installed? Additionally, are you using an .htaccess file to remove index.php from your URLs?

    Cheers

I am running into the same problem. I am using EE 1.6.9, developing on windows (on wamp) and running in production on solaris. I am not removing index.php with a .htaccess file.

I’ve seen this happen when attempting to modify other settings as well.

    Extensions:

    Twomile Login Redirect (v.1.2.0)
    Gypsy (v.1.0.6)
FCKeditor Extension for EE (v.1.1.9)- Disabled
REEOrder (v.1.0) - (Disabled in unix, Enabled on windows dev environment)
jQuery for the Control Panel (v.1.1.1)

Let’s have you both please disable all extensions temporarily via the large green button in the Extension Manager.

patrick-vibes, let us know the answers to Greg’s questions.
