I have a Freeform on my site that does not accept [email protected] as being a valid email address. I’m also validating these fields with jQuery’s native validation plugin and this says it IS a valid email. The concensus seems to be that it is a valid email address but there are no single letter tld domains.

If i choose to accept this as a valid email address, how can I turn off EE’s validation? Afaik there is no validation being done by Freeform itself, but then I wonder how and why EE validates it?

The opening tag I’m using is

{exp:freeform:form form_id="my_newsletter" form_name="newsletter" required="first_name" template="newsletter" return="{lg_lang}/newsletter/thanks"}

?
