    if someone with bit more knowledge than i have can help i would greatly appreciate it.

    about a year ago i built a site for one of my clients in expressions engine. the dev server used the url http://ssl130.securefastssl.com/sunnyvalefence once the site went live the url should have changed to http://www.sunnyvalefence.com i have changed all the instance i can find in the config file and the site prefs and all worked well until their server admin changed the way the securefastssl.com works. now it appears then even though i changed the config and site prefs to use the live url parts of expression engine were still using the dev url. (things like the image upload directories and the template urls)

    after trying to change all the urls from the ee back end, i eventually gave up and went in throught phpadmin and edited the data base directly. all is fine except for 2 things

    first the template url now generates this

    http://www.sunnyvalefence.com/index/S=392efc45edb427c3c8e2509514c98e89f5979a1e/?css=site/site_css

    it’s correct except for the bold part. and i have run a query searching for that particular string but doesn’t appear to exist.

    392efc45edb427c3c8e2509514c98e89f5979a1e

    is my session id. why is the session id showing up in {stylesheet={my_template_group}

    It looks like you are using sessions ids for authentication purposes. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just means that they will show up in your URL like that.

    Hi offsprg01,

    Go to Admin > System Preferences > Security and Session Preferences and change the User Session Type to ‘cookies only’.

    Cheers

    Greg
