    hello, it seems like this happened suddenly, but I’m sure it was something I did changing the pathinfo on my weblogs that was still pointing to the old domain where the site was…

    all the urls in the control panel have this string in them:

    S=762460ccc82d5035bdc7f021468b890369a6b0ee

    all the urls for my site have this string:

    S=762460ccc82d5035bdc7f021468b890369a6b0ee as segment_1 if you mouse over the logo, it leads to
    http://s=762460ccc82d5035bdc7f021468b890369a6b0ee so this makes me thing {homepage} returns this string.  Everywhere else in my templates {site_url} is used, but I couldn’t find where this is stored.  This has the effect of screwing up the stylesheets and templates obviously the more one clicks around on the site, so I’d love to figure this thing out soon.

    the site:  http://bestnetworksecurity.com

    update….some really wierd stuff going on.  I just went to the system administration to see what is stored for {homepage} (if that is where it is} and my weblogs, which I had renamed was entities, are now called channels.  So instead of entity administration, it says channel administration.  Help!  I’m running 1.6.2

    Look at:  CP Home ›  Admin ›  System Preferences ›  Security and Session Preferences

    You have Either Session ID or Cookies and Session ID for your “User” and “Control Panel” session types.  Changing both to Cookies only will eliminate the session ID in your URLs.

    Thanks for the tip Greg.  I actually put the url without index.php back in the “URL to the root directory of your site” field and everything went back to normal.

    I’m glad you got it fixed.  Please don’t hesitate to start a new thread should anything else come up.
