In my EE(latest build) I have MSM set up with 5 sites, because of some problems with my DB I need to delete a site(site_id 3)

After deleting all my SAEF’s from the other websites stopped working like they should, I can submit an entry and the title is created in exp_weblog_titles db but in exp_weblog_data nothing happens.
I restored my DB and tried to delete all the parts of my website manually, after deleting my custom weblog fields I had the same problem.

So there must be something happening that breaks my database.
For now I just restored my DB again but I in the near future I really need to delete the site.

Anyone an idea what is happening?

mArsmAn, when you are creating your SAEF, which weblog are you referring to? Is it one of the ones in your deleted site?

The SAEF’s I’m using are all located in the other remaining sites(site_id 1,site_id 2,site_id 4,...). The weblogs that I’m updating have nothing related to the weblogs I just deleted form site_id 3.

Everything works perfect without deleting that on site(site_id3). From the moment I delete 1 custom field group(site_id3) the other sites(site_id1,site_id2,site_id4,...) their SAEF’s stops working

But is the short name of the weblog the same between sites?

How did you create that custom field group?

No, all weblogs have unique names, except for one. Two sites have a weblog that is named ‘static’ but those weblogs aren’t updated with a SAEF. Could that be a problem?

All custom field groups are created the standard way, some time ago.

I also forgot to mention that updating or publishing a weblog entry after I deleted the other site is not a problem from the EE backend, only from the SAEF

Can you paste the build number, just to double check.  And it’s odd- definitely works fine from the cp- it’s just all of the SAEFs that fail to add to the custom fields?  Any extensions installed?

Yes, adding new entries from the cp is not a problem at all, only with the SAEF.
And I do use some extensions that use custom fields: Custom Fields in EE Tags, File, Radio. All by Mark Huot.

Hm- there may be quirks w/some of those extensions and MSM.  For a quick test, can you disable all extensions- in ‘Utilities- Extensions Manager’- that top right button.  See if it still happens w/extensions disabled as a whole.

    :red:  :red: Shame on me!!!!!

I just created a copy of the sites on my localhost and started enabling and disabling all my extensions one by one.

There was one extension(that I totally forgot) that I created to combine some input fields into one variable just after I submit my SAEF with the ‘weblog_standalone_insert_entry’ hook, and that was the problem, the field_id was hard coded.

Sorry for all the panic and thanks for the great support!!!

😉  Just glad you got it spotted.  Knowing it was ok in the CP gave us a good hint!

    Closing this one out.
