    Hello,

I am considering purchasing EE and had a few questions:

1.) Are there any import utilities for importing a vbulletin forum community into the EE forums?
2.) Does EE support google adsense integration?
3.) Does EE support google search integration? In other words can I use googles search instead of EE’s built in search?
4.) Where can I find a demo of the photo gallery?

    Many thanks.

I can answer all of the questions except for the first. Adsense works just fine with EE. I am using it on two sites right now. Also google search works just fine. Anything you can do on the web you can find a way to do in EE pretty much.

I think one of the best gallery that is powered by EE is 5pieces.

As for the vBulletin question: No, there isn’t, that I know of.  It would have to be a manual job.

I have another question about posting articles. When an author is defined is there an option for users to email the the author? Also can I specify not to display the author’s email address and simply have a form to contact the author?

    Thank you.

Yes you can use the contact form built into EE and provide a link to it in the article. It will hide the email address and allow users to contact the author.

The best way is to use their profile link. So they can see a link to the user’s website (if they’ve opted to fill that field in), there’s a link to send a private message (which is through the system), and there’s a way to send them an email, which is done using a form.

Here’s a link to one of my members, you’ll see what I mean:
