I’m aware of and have implemented view tracking on my client’s site.  What I’d like to do is be able to track whether a particular piece of content has been viewed by the logged in user before.

In other words, I could put a “new” badge on links to the channel entry’s view template if the logged in user hadn’t yet visited that page.

Is there a way to do this in EE?

    Hi Moki,

I think, this would be possible with a small custom addon/module which will store the member and viewed entry. The logic of this module would be like:
    - There would be module’s tag {exp:custom_module:track_view entry_id="{entry_id}”}. This tag can be placed within channel entry tag of single entry page or within template of that page without entry_id parameter.
    - This tag would store member id and entry id into a database table. So it would be easy to track which member has viewed which entry.
