Hi - We have some interesting requirements for a CMS, and I’m hoping ExpressionEngine can fit our needs, because I really like what I see so far. I manage a fairly large eCommerce site, and we’re moving away from our in-house system to a full e-com system. But, the new e-com system doesn’t support any content outside our online store; things like support articles, press releases, etc… So, we’re looking for a system to manage that content, built the HTML files, and then we’ll figure out a way to synch the files over to the HTTP server to serve up.
We also need to support content in multiple languages, and have several people contributing content. Our hope is to find a system that will allow for some level of workflow (create, stage, approve, things like that) and also facilitate maintaining translated versions of each piece of content. Ideally, if the English version of a content piece changes, having workflow notify someone to review the other languages would be great.
I’ve looked at EEHarbor’s Transcribe product, which looks very promising. Better Workflow from Electric Putty also looks promising.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
