    Hi Admin,

I would like to export the posts from ExpressionEngine to another framework. Is there a way I could export the images of the posts along with the posts themselves? In other words, is there a way I can attach the links of the images along with the post content while exporting?

Any other pointers in this regard will be very helpful .

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, arav36,

I am sorry to hear you are moving away from ExpressionEngine.

With that said, let’s see what we can do to help you get your project where you want it to be.  There is not a built-in export mechanism, but there are a few export solutions on Devot-ee that may work.

    I hope that helps!

    Thank you admin.
I have exported the image links (folder path) through XML. If I can set up the same folder path in the new framework they should work I think . How do I access the images folder in EE, so that I can download all the images to my local machine?

By the way, the account arav369 & TDMProject both belong to me. I mistakenly created two accounts in EE. I apologize for the confusion.

    Thanks in advance

You can visit the same path, as specified in the Upload Destination, via FTP and download them there.

    No worries!

    Hi Admin,

What is the simplest method/tool for using FTP to access theses folders and files? Can I do it from ExpressionEngine itself?

    Thanks in advance.

What is the simplest method/tool for using FTP…

That depends on your Operating System - on the Mac I use Transmit. On Windows, there are tool like FIlezilla. The ins and outs of how to use FTP are really beyond the scope of the questions we answer in Pre Sales.

Best of luck and we are sorry to see that ExpressionEngine no longer suits your needs.

    Cheers!
