    Hi,

I’m interested in trying out EE.

Do I need a commercial license or non-commercial license if I am creating a site which I intent to take payments from people to access my content? This project is going to be a part time hobby.

I’m only a one man band and I have no employees.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Rich,

Thank you for your interest in ExpressionEngine and welcome to the Forums!

Based on your brief, you would need a Commercial license for this project.

If you chose not to charge for content and support the site with ads, you could get the non-commercial license.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Cheers,
