Hello.  I have a number of editor groups for a site and today it was discovered that none of them could edit their content any longer.  THe error they were getting was the “you don’t have permissions” when trying to edit content.  I did find a workaround fix ... changing the member group setting for “Can access CONTENT: Publish” to Yes (even though I don’t want it to be yes).  I suspect this was introduced in the upgrade to 2.5.2 as I recently upgraded this client.

Ideally I want to change that setting back to no and still have them be able to edit content without the error.  Is there a workaround for this (or is this fixed in 2.5.3?)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Derek,

Yep, that’s a bug we’ve got a report on here. It looks like there’s not a fix for it at the moment, and the workaround for this at the moment is the one you already discovered: allow that member group to publish new content as well.

I’d recommend posting a comment to that thread to keep tabs on its progress. Anything else I can help you with?
