    Hi Guys,

I just purchased an EE forum module licence for an existing site.

I’ve managed to get it installed just fine but have encountered some problems:

    The good:
Posting messages etc is working ok
    installation was painless

    The Bad:
Half the links on the forum don’t work such as: public profile, your control panel, member list, PM etc.

Now im pretty sure that this issue is to do with the Multilanguage setup on my website.

I use a variation on the Biber MLS method whereby I combine the Biber MLS module with additional global vars {site_url} and {site_url_pure} set in language specific index.php files located at /en/index.php etc.

To clarify the forum only needs to work in one language (English).

When I click the public profile link it takes me to this URL:
    http://localhost/atp/en/forums/—sdjhkj2lffgrerfvmdkndkfisolmfmsd1345043233/1/

    which gives the following error:

    The following errors were encountered

The page you requested was not found

which I have also tried changing to:
    http://localhost/atp/en/forums/index.php/—sdjhkj2lffgrerfvmdkndkfisolmfmsd1345043233/1/

    but to no avail.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on here?

I really need to get this update finished and pushed live by the end of this week

NOTE: Im working locally but can deploy the site to a staging server if required.

    Many thanks,

    Neil

P.S. Im also using a slight variation on the NSM Bootstrap file in case that’s causing any issues..

    Cheers,

    Neil

    RESOLVED: [I think!!]

Just been looking through my bootstrap file and noticed the line:

    ‘profile_trigger’ => ‘—sdjhkj2lffgrerfvmdkndkfisolmfmsd’ . time(),

So I commented that out and everything started working!!

Yep! That would be the problem. That line in the bootstrap file is probably there with the assumption that you won’t be using the member profiles. Glad to see you were able to resolve it, Neil!
