    Hi there.

Do you know if ExpressionEngine plays nicely with Shopify?

I’d prefer to use an EE based commerce system, like CartThrob, but the client is married to the idea of using Shopify for this project.

Any info you can offer would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brett

    Hey Static Interactive,

I do not have any experience with Shopify so I am unable to answer this question.

I can move this over to the Community Help Forum to see if the community has any input of you would like.

    Cheers,

    That’d be great.

    Thanks Shane.

As far as I know there is no way of integrating Shopify into EE, but I suppose you could run the rest of the site on EE and just have the shop element link to Shopify.

This wouldn’t be very clean for your client though as they would have to log in to two separate areas to update. If your client is sold on Shopify, I have used it for one simple e-commerce site and it is a great product, very designer friendly.

    Thanks for the reply Gareth.

I absolutely agree with you, keeping it all under EE’s roof would be best, but it seems like Shopify is a must have for them.

Good to know you enjoyed working with Shopify. It seems to have a good reputation, but I’ve only really just started reading up on it.
