    Hi Tony,

Which version of ExpressionEngine are you running here?

If not the latest version then could you possibly try upgrading to 2.3.1 and see if this fixes the problem up for you?

It will at least mean that we’re all on the same page code wise for testing purposes at least and that you will have a totally fresh set of files on your system.

Also was this a brand new install of ExpressionEngine or an update? If an update then did the update go smoothly or did you receive any errors when performing the update? If you did have errors then can you let us know what they were please.

    Thanks,

    Mark

wow that was a very poor bug report from me.

    Let me try again.

I upgraded from EE1 to EE2.  This error happened from day one.

Yes i did have problems upgrading due to duplicate entries in various tables.  But i sorted that out, and upgraded successfully.

    Im now running 2.3.

It only seems to be an issue with the viewreply url.  view thread works fine.

what happens is I get a subscription notification and i click the link in my email and it goes to viewreply

maybe i have something configured wrong?

    Hi Tony,

You say that you had problems when upgrading from 1.x to 2.x but you managed to sort those problems out. What were the problems and how did you sort them out if I might ask?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Tony Gurnick,

Did you make sure to update your Discussion Forum to the latest version as part of your upgrade process? What version of Forum are you running?

    Cheers,

    Tony Gurnick,

Ha! You are not the only person to tell me that 😉 Our very own James Mathias insists on doing the same.

Are you by any chance using .htaccess to remove index.php?

    Cheers,

I hate to double back on this, Tony, but are you sure you’re running the latest Discussion Forum release? I ask because line 1668 in forum/mod.forum_core.php of the latest release doesn’t have any math in it (so there shouldn’t be a “division by zero” error), but that same line in the release before the most recent does. I have a feeling that might be the cause of our problems here.

Just for the sake of troubleshooting, could you please download the latest Forum release and upload it to your server again?

    Tony Gurnick,
Dan Decker here, you are correct? 3.1.6 is the most current version of Discussion Forum. Can you verify that you have that installed on your system. If you are completely up-to-date, do you still see the error?

    Cheers,
