I had not been using member tools at all with a particular ee2.0 site. I just discovered 40,000 spam members (forgot to turn off the default ee2.0 settings of “allow registration by email validation—it was a series of bounced emails that alerted me to this.).

What is the best method or tool to dump 40,000 members? I am the only actual member (admin) of the site. Using the control panel (with 20 members at a time, and no google-like “apply this delete request to all matching results…) I’d have to submit 2,000 “delete all” requests. Recognizing my own error in letting this happen, there must be a better way to clean this up?

    Hi, DigitalDave.

You can delete an entire member group - that’s the easiest way to get rid of all of them. Just make sure you turn off memberships in the control panel.

    Does that help?
