    Hi

    Control Panel : “Output and Debugging Preferences”

    http://i.imgur.com/Vm3qR.png

    “Debug Preference” says :

      1: PHP/SQL error messages shown only to Super Admins
      2: PHP/SQL error messages shown to anyone - NOT SECURE

    While in the database it stores the value 0 OR 2
    I guess it should store it   1 OR 2

    My mail issue is that site does not display some content on our site because following code in expressionengine/controllers/ee.php around line 86:

    if ($this->config->item('debug') == 0 AND $this->output->remove_unparsed_variables == TRUE)
    {
     $output = preg_replace("/".LD."[^;\n]+?".RD."/", '', $output);
    }

    Even though I am logged in as a superadmin it removes all content which is encrypted by json_encode(..)

    I belive it should also check if I am super admin or not
    If I am logged in as super admin, then at least it should not remove content.

    I am not sure how can I set FALSE value to : $this->output->remove_unparsed_variables

    Hello Gurudutt,

    I’m sorry this is presenting an issue for you. I’m going to help move this towards resolution. First, we need to know what version of ExpressionEngine is giving you this trouble? The latest version is 2.2.1. If you are up-to-date on 2.2.1, you may need to download EE again and go through the update process. We had a bug in the download files that left out changes that were made in a recent hotfix.

    Let us know if that does the trick, or if you need further assistance.

    Best,

    Hello Gurudutt,
    We had a bug in the download files that left out changes that were made in a recent hotfix.

    Thank you Daniel for response.

    I am on latest version of EE 2.2.1,

    It would be great if I can know the hotfix, so I can apply patch on our prod environment.

    Going through update procedure is a long procedure for us and it require lot of testing ....

    I will download the latest version of EE and will do diff if I can find I will update here too.

    Hello Gurudutt,

    Have you been able to make the updates? If so, did that clear up your issues?

    Cheers!

    Hi

    I have downloaded latest version of ee 2.2.1 again and I tried to find diff of “ee.php”  from old version and new version
    and both file were exact same.

    so I guess I have the latest version of EE.

    so my issue still exists.

    Hi Gurudutt,

    I’ll be happy to close this out, but first, would you mind sharing your workaround? It might help others if they’re running into the same issue. And just to clarify, setting error messages to only be shown to Super Admins didn’t alleviate your issues?
