Hi

Have just upgraded from 2.13 to 2.2 and most of it seems to have worked fine, apart from this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class File_ft in /xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/expressionengine/fieldtypes/file/ft.file.php on line 365

I had the Safecracker module installed before, so I don’t know if there’s a clash somewhere. I also get the same error if I try to edit the Channel Fields as well, so something’s now quite right.

Any ideas?

SafeCaracker is integrated as a first party module now so no need to have it inside your third-party folder. It can be removed from there.

SafeCaracker File still lives in the third_party folder. Just replace it with the new one from EE download.

Have a look inside system\expressionengine\fieldtypes

Can you confirm that all those fieldtypes are in folders and it’s not just a directory full of files

I have the same problem. What should the folder system\expressionengine\fieldtypes look like inside? I have a ft.file.php file in the file folder under fieldtypes. What should I do. I do not have time to be delayed at this piont…

Inside that folder it should look like the attached. Did you follow the revised upgrade instructions from our docs particularly the tip in the purple box?

I meant to install a new version. I had trouble with the 2.0.0-version that I downloaded, so i used a 2.1.3-version I have just installed successfully for another client.

Now this appeared:

Unable to load requested field type file: ft.checkboxes.php.
Confirm the fieldtype file is located in the expressionengine/third_party/ directory

Hi Anette,

If you are using ExpressionEngine 2.1.3, your fieldtypes folder should have these files, and only these files.

Please make sure your fieldtypes folder only has these files, and then let us know if you still have issues.

Also, as a side note, ExpressionEngne 2.2.1 was just released, and updating would probably be in your best interest.

Where can I see the version of EE I am using? I want to be sure that I have my facts correct. (I was very tired when I did this…)

Also, when I removed the folders, this was the warning I got when trying to make a new field…

If you look in your control panel, in the footer, you will see a version and build number. Please post both here.

I’ve attached a screenshot of what you’re looking for.

It is a v2.1.3 version, so then I do not know why it is not working when I have removed all the folders. Do I have to install the whole thing again? I have done everything else for this site - a medium big site of 100’s of products….

I am very worried now, as you can imagine. What do I do?

Can you tell me what build number it is?

When you said

perhaps some of the old system that was not working for you got mixed with the new and casued errors.

Giving me the build number should confirm that the correct system matches what version it says it is.

You were right, now I have removed the safecracker folder and now I can meke new fields.

Puh, my shoulders went down 10 cm!
Now I can finish the site!
