    Hiya,

    running EE 2.1.3 build 20101220

I’ve got a custom field creation issue. I suspect it may have occured after I uninstalled the cartthrob module. Anyway, the deal is, when I go to create a custom field, the “type” dropdown menu (e.g. change it to a relationships, or dropdown, or checkbox, etc) doesn’t result in any changes to the options for the field type.

So it always just looks like a text input set of options. I have tried all the custom field types, and none of them behave as expected.

I am running javascript successfully on the front end of the site, so I don’t think it’s a javascript problem (backend drop downs and entry tab options are also successfully working).

Any suggestions on getting these field type options back again? 😊
    thanks!
    Reese

    Hi Reese,

Are you spotting any JavaScript errors when you do change the dropdown? Try clearing your browser cache, and I’d do a build update to the latest 2.1.3 so that we’re sure all the files are intact.

OK. This appears to be a firefox problem. Probably localized to me.

I updated anyway, and notice behavior as expected in IE, but not FF. So, thank you very much for your guidance and I apologize for bringing this here—your reminder to clear cache helped remind me to check another browser! 😊
