I recently changed the password on my cpanel. Would that effect logging into my expression engine back end of my website?

I contacted my Server hosts about it and they said this.

Most probably your Expression Engine Content Management System uses the old FTP login details. Please check its configuration and make sure that it uses the details below:

    Server:
    Username:
    Passwordd:

The problem is I dont know how to check my ftp login details/configuration. I dont want to mess anything up.

    Please advise.

Is that really for a legacy “Core” version? What build are you using?

No, that should be a separate issue.

EE uses the username and password that you provided during installation (or changed at some point after that). If you’ve forgotten your password, try making use of the “Forgotten password” feature.

Is your site working fine otherwise? What version and build of EE are you using?

I merged your threads, by the way. This is using EE 2, correct?

I’m using version 2. I did the forgot password and logged on to use the forum. That same log on information wont let me log into my http://www.pinnacleportfolios.com/system back end. My site it up and running but I cant log into the CMS. The problem started right after I changed the password on my cpanel. What should I do?

    Please help.
