I’m trying to let my users edit their bios and whatnot from the frontend using Solspace’s User module.

I’ve come up with a problem where HTML in the custom fields can’t be submitted to EE - it just gives a blank page. HTML that’s added on the backend display fine on the frontend, but changes to that HTML from the frontend won’t be accepted.

I have a thread for the problem on Solspace’s forum as well: http://www.solspace.com/forums/viewthread/4265/

Any ideas? I’d love to be able to use a WYSIWYG editor for certain textareas on the frontend, but I unfortunately can’t do that for member profiles right now.

    Hi Luke,

I’m able to submit HTML in custom profile fields via the standard member profile area, so I’m inclined to think this is going to be a 3rd-party issue.  Let us know what you find.

    Hm, k.

I’ll post here if the Solspace forum thread turns out to be useful.

Yep, turns out it’s a bug with User 3.0. Solspace has added it to their bugs list - see here.

Thanks for looking in to it.

Glad you were able to at least pinpoint the issue. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.
