I know this thread has been around for a while, but I’m confirming this behavior today, as our users seemed to have figured this out.

I have changed the allowed file types to “all”, and even added “JPG” to list of mime types. Still, if a forum attachment has an uppercase “JPG” in the extension, I get the error message about allowed file types. If I simply rename it using lower case, it’s fine.

The forum versions I’ve tried this on are Version 2.0.0 (20080125) and Version 2.1.0 (20080829)

Any fixes?

Debra, have you considered upgrading both EE and the forum module? It sounds like the problem is fixed in a later version.
