Question: I have a website with an editorial group that can edit any weblog or section. However, when these users add or edit an existing user, the status defaults to closed. There isn’t any way to change this.
SuperAdmins don’t have this problem. What causes this, and how can I fix it?
Answer: This problem is caused by the weblog or section either not having a default status or not having a status group assigned. If you update your weblog or section setting to have a default status, your editorial group will be able to save the entry as something other than closed.
