HowTo Disable Extensions via the Control Panel

ExpressionEngine makes it easy to temporarily and globally disable extensions for troubleshooting. Following this method also ensures that none of your extensions’ configurations or data are removed.

ExpressionEngine 2.x:

1. From your Control Panel home, click Addons > Extensions
2. Click the grey “Disable Extensions?” button in the upper right. If the button says “Enable Extensions?” then extensions were already disabled.

ExpressionEngine 1.x:

1. From your Control Panel home, click Admin › Utilities › Extensions Manager
2. Click the green “Disable Extensions?” button in the upper right. If the button says “Enable Extensions?” then extensions were already disabled.
