Video Requirements

In order for your video to be used it must meet the following requirements:

Content Requirements:

• Your video must answer the question "Why did you choose ExpressionEngine?"
• Identify yourself: say your first name and where you are from.
• Keep your video clean and family appropriate.
• Be timely: Your video should be at least 30 seconds long but less than 2 minutes in length; we mean it!
• Only one video entry per person (but everyone on your team is welcome to create one).
• We will not link to sites with "Adult" oriented content.

Technical requirements:

• Video can be as high-quality as you like. HD is just fine.
• Video should not be less-than 425x344, the standard size for YouTube.
• We can work with just about any video format available. If we can't use your video, we'll let you know and ask that you use a different format.
• Speak up: make sure your audio is not too soft or distorted.
• The download link should enable us to download your video, not just view it online.

Creative Considerations:

• Think big: your mug face should be prominently featured at some point in the video.
• Be creative! Talking too boring? Sing! Rap! Recite poetry. Then again, talking may be your style.
• Make sure that your message is clear. You may understand your abstract, silent film, Avant-garde visual ode to ExpressionEngine but a general audience may not.
