Why do I choose EE? It’s simple. It’s the most flexible CMS out there, and I’ve used a lot of them. The templating system that powers the whole engine is brilliant. It cuts development time and makes it extremely easy to adapt and evolve a site over the years. There is also a tremendous developer community around EE, which is a huge asset.

Currently, the most compelling part of my site is a system using EE Matrix that logs and graphs roast profiles, manages cuppings (like wine tastings for coffee), product and broker information. This is slowly being built into a mini social network that will allow home coffee roasters to share roast profiles and reviews on different coffees and where they obtained them.
